There is no Data to Suggest that Astronauts Dream while in Outer Space

19*03*2024 - 22*03*2024

08*10*2026 - ????

we have had a song brewing for a couple of months - we have played it at a few shows and now we are ready to record

MJ came up with the initial idea - putting a capo on the second fret of their guitar and tuning the G string down to an F# to match the 'open strings' with the capo

then by some mysterious process of sonic osmosis - the middle section appeared / those maj 7 chords normally found in jazz - and a melody began to form around it like matter coalescing around a new star - a new constellation /

MJ took the idea to the others - Dudu and Dan seemed immediately enthusiastic - a song was born!

late one night in a darkened stasis booth - The Traveller is downloading text data files to their cognition patch bays and learning about APOLLO 11 - the historic mission to put humans on the moon for the first time in our existence - and our Temporal Traveller is inspired - the image of an astronaut sitting alone on the moon shimmers into view - is the astronaut waiting for the crew? for rescue?

"they will be coming back soon"

"something about a new moon?"

flash forward to March 2024 and Temporal Comet have been approached by Spike Wright - student at SAE LDN - and before we know it we are meeting at the studios in de Beauvoir town near Haggerston - smoking quickly/ excitedly by the canal after dark before disappearing into the studio complex

unfortunately photographic evidence does not survive of the recording event where the band laid down the backing track / and the Traveller did not arrive until the second session - MJ filling in on guitar

at that second session The Traveller recorded lead guitars and vocals (typical diva and limelight-hoarder) / Spike was impressively nonchalant about recording a time traveller from Century 24 as part of his coursework and got a great result -

the huge SSL desk on which the track was mixed a couple of months later is pictured below //

and then a flash as time passes - in 2025 the song was ready - and the idea for a video was forming... but that is another story

meanwhile you can hear The Traveller's lead guitar playing here
